About Me

Hi! My name is Fabian Santis and I am an ESL teacher from Chile.

I am currently finishing my MEd program at UBC but I have spent eight amazing years teaching in diverse educational contexts. I am particularly interested in the areas of ICT education, educational leadership, teacher training, higher education and community engagement.

Like everyone, this pandemic has made me rethink my life in many ways. One of them is how to adapt my teaching to my students’ current educational needs, thus becoming a better online teacher. Consequently, I created Online Teacher 101 as a way to help my peers do better in this useful — and challenging —approach to teaching. I hope you like it!
